Deploying VCF 4.2 Multi-Availability Zones (VIDEO) | LAB2PROD

Over the last few months I have had several clients deploy VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 4.0+. They all had one requirement in common, they all required a stretched management domain or better known as multi-availability zones.

The reasons were varied and this is not a hard ask, however there are quite a few requirements that need to be met for the solution to work properly. This becomes more challenging if it is going into a brownfields environment.

They also required the use of multi-nic hosts, at a minimum they were utilizing 4 physical NICs per host. This request can also be accomodated, with some modifications to the process.

I have put together the video below, to demonstrates the process.

The JSON files I refer to can be found here .

If you run into any issues during the process, you may find some tricks I have listed here handy.
